As Director of Academic Administration (half-time, beginning December 2020), Beth continues her leadership in development and approval of new and refreshed academic programs, in collaboration with UMBC faculty, department chairs, and senior administrators. As a member of the Academic Affairs team with the Vice Provost and the Associate Provost for Academic Affairs, Beth manages UMBC’s participation in the Academic Common Market and the University’s academic calendar, and she serves as liaison to the Registrar’s Office on academic programs. Beth earned her B.A. at UMBC in 1974 and her M.A. at UMCP in 1979 and has 35 years of experience in higher education.
Prior to her October 2020 retirement as Assistant Vice Provost for Academic Affairs, Beth served full time for 20 years in the Office of the Provost. Upon her retirement she was named Assistant Vice Provost Emeritus.
