The search committee will meet with the Isaacson, Miller (IM) team to review the search process, proposed timeline, and begin to form the position profile.

December 2024

Finalize Position Profile and Search Schedule
The committee will review and finalize the IM-developed draft profile.

January 2025

Networking & Candidate Interviews by IM
The IM team will contact sources and conduct interviews with candidates in preparation for the presentation meeting.

January-February

Presentation: Review and Selection of Semi-Finalists
The IM team presents candidates to the committee.

January-February

Semi-Finalist Interviews by Committee
The committee interviews candidates and selects 3-5 finalists.

Mid-February

Checking References
IM will conduct extensive references on each candidate and report their findings to UMBC.

Finalist Interviews and Visits
UMBC arranges in-person meetings with relevant constituencies and stakeholders and evaluates each finalist.

Selecting Cadidate
The decision-makers will review the references and evaluation materials and select the preferred candidate.
